The first ever Camp Bestival is all about bringing back the British Holiday Camp - Bestival style! Expect entertainment of the highest order, splendid music including headliners Kate Nash, The Flaming Lips, Chuck Berry plus a host of Rob da Bank heritage heroes and hot new acts from Billy Bragg and Suzanne Vega to Black Kids, dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Florence and the Machine and top DJs including Andrew Wetherall, DJ Yoda, Gilles Peterson, Queens of Noize, and lots more.

The legendary Dressing Up Area will be on hand to help you get dolled up and the magnificent Spiegel tent for Come Dancing dance offs and Karaoke, Comedy, Spoken Word and Literature in the Laughter Library. Plus look out for other cool stuff including Theatre in the Woods, The Knitting Kent, Cockney Knees Up, Heavenly Healing, Restival Field, Films, Fireworks, Campfire Sessions & Singalongs, Workshops for Kids, Sports Day antics and much more.

There’s also a fancy dress theme for the festival’s inaugural knees up - an Alice In Wonderland inspired Tea Party comes to life in Camp Bestival’s Magic Meadow. Expect cream teas and a host of freaky characters playing games like wonky crochet, while kazoo wizards Masters of the Kazooniverse supply the soundtrack.

All this plus the best facilities of any festival, from hot showers with tea & toast while you wait, to custom furnished tepees and yurts to maintained barbeques, a massive kids area and Bestival Bluecoats led by the mighty Cuban Brothers on hand 24 hours a day to cater for your every need!

The festival takes place from 18th – 20th July 2008 at Lulworth Castle, Dorset. Day Tickets cost £45 for Adults and £22.50 for teenagers between 13 – 15. Adult Weekend Camping costs £120 and it’s £100 for teenagers – plus booking fee. All kids under 13 go free. Visit www.campbestival.net
