From its inception as the one-day love-child of Groove Armada and Clapham Common in 2003, Lovebox has become a two-day extravaganza with a 10 000 capacity.

It’s now an unashamed dancefest at London’s Victoria Park, but the organisers have expanded to include a dash of indie, rock and pop for a bit of diversity. The Feeling, The Bees, Gogol Bordello, Mylo, Jamiroquai, Lost Vagueness and Fishseeksbicycle have all felt the love.

Chaos, disorderliness and eccentric side attractions are encouraged, but only till 10pm: there’s no camping or parking, so don’t come expecting to pitch up. There are big-top dance tents though, as well as cabaret arenas and a fun fair.
