Under Review: Out There, Scott Mac & Simon Eve, bring all back home with a tech trance anthem!
The previous release K90’s Red Snapper was always going to be a tough act to follow which is why Recover bought in production heavyweights for their latest release, in the form of Scott Mac and Simon Eve. Read our exclusive interview with Simon Eve.
Scott has produced with everyone who is anyone. With his own “Limit” label he was responsible for the goliath “Damager” series. In partnership this time with Simon Eve, owner of Recharge and Recover, and Antiworld resident DJ, they have come up with a dark and smouldering tech trance anthem.
The original mix is dark, sinister and sleazy, adding more and more tension until the arrival of the haunting piano melody in the breakdown, and the vocal line, chanting “I know your out there.”
The DJ Cams mix is another alias for Scott Mac and this mix is a deranged fusion of the King of High Tec Future Funk mixed with Donna Summer and a splash of Joey Beltram and it is superb!! This mixed has already featured on BK’s Euphoria compilation for Ministry and judging by the number of phone calls we have received at the office its vinyl release is very eagerly awaited.
