Buy it, says resident reviewer Davina Richards.
This Geordie band have so far received a considerable amount of praise from high profile places- rock legend Roger Daltrey is a fan, even asking the boys to support one of their gigs and the Sun describes them as a “brilliant new band.”
Their latest album ‘Blame the BBC’ features a selection of catchy, well constructed songs that makes this album an exciting listen. The majority of the songs are energetic, loud and angry whilst at the same time tuneful and passionate- the first few tracks will have you jumping up and down.
With track 8 hungover stuntsmen have produced a song with subtle nuances that is beautiful in its simplicity, proving that they have more than one musical string to their bow.
One objection to this band is their somewhat generic style; they will need to be inventive and focused to compete against the influx of indie and rock bands on the scene at the moment. ‘Blame the BBC’ is out on the 5th May. Buy it - it’s really rather good.
