Ferry Corsten on dance festivals and Adam Sheridan.
What have you been up to lately?
"I am working on my new album."
What was your first Creamfields experience like?
"I think I played Creamfields for the first time in 2000 and I had goosebumps all over when I dropped Veracocha, “Carte Blance” and the whole place erupted."
You started out your career at a young age, what three things would you suggest to budding DJs?
"Never be afraid to have a few golden oldies in your bag; believe in your own style and bring a sense of humor."
If you could go back now, would you have done it differently?
"In terms of my productions, maybe I would have released things in a different order."
Who do you think will wow the crowds this year at Creamfields?
"Adam Sheridan, a great DJ."
There’s been so much talk about Dance music dying out, what’s your opinion on this?
"How many times in history has it been said that the end of days is near! Dance music will never die."
How do you decide what to play at a big festival like Creamfields? Does the weather have any influence?
"I see what the DJ before me does and how the crowd responds to that and take it from there. I don’t think so, they’re all a bunch of nutters, regardless :-)"
Have you got any of your own new tunes coming out that you will be airing at Creamfields this summer?
"That’s for me to know and for you to find out :-)"
Do you think you’ll ever get too old for big dance music festivals?
"I guess only time can tell. As of now, I still love it all the way!"
Ferry Corsten will be performing in the Cream & Goodgreef arena at Creamfields on Saturday 27th August
