Calling all young designers and artists: help us design a new logo for this website.
As you know, UrbanPlanet.co.uk is dedicated to breaking new acts in the world of dance, indie and more, and we've just launched a nationwide competition to find a new logo for this website, which we will feature in our revamped website in the New Year.
The UrbanPlanet.co.uk logo is an integral part of the website and features heavily on all branding and promotional activity undertaken by the website, online and in print.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a new logo that captures the style and cutting edge nature of the website. We are all about new music, new people and new events and we are looking for a new logo that reflects this.
Whether it’s a graffiti logo, funky font, iconic symbol or figurine, or something totally different we are open to new ideas and I hope that any young designer out there can come up with something fresh for our website.
What's In It For You
Credit with designing the logo will be a great accolade for any young designer or artist: the winning logo will become a part of the website for a long time to come and hopefully become an iconic symbol of new music and more.

All entries will be displayed on the website for users to comment on their favourites. Not only will the winner of the competition receive a much valued addition to their portfolio, along with a reference from the website, but they will also receive an Urban Planet goodie bag, worth at least £60 complete with music CDs and gig tickets for up-and-coming events. *
Competition Details
The closing date for the Design a Logo Competition is 1st February, 2008. After this date UrbanPlanet.co.uk design and editorial staff will select a winner, taking into account comments from visitors to the website.
Those interested in competing should send a .Gif or .JPG version of their logo design to info@urbanplanet.co.uk.
Entrants should keep the original files (Photoshop, Illustrator or any other design copies) of their logo submission on file as UrbanPlanet.co.uk will need the original logo copy if the entry is successful.
