The number thirteen is lucky for some, and that 'some' definitely includes Danny Krivit, whose latest album is number 13 in the Defected's 'In The House' compilation series.

This legendary DJ and producer applies his vast experience and finely tuned ear to bring this fabulous collection of upfront and classic tracks, with cuts from some of the finest producers from Satoshi Tomi, Davis Morales and Adamski to Blaze, Natalie Cole and Jon Cutler.

With over thirty years in this industry, this DJ has seen it all, with a musical background that boasts some amazing experiences with Larry Levan (at the Paradise Garage) and the legendary James Brown, and that's not to mention a discography as long as your arm. You might not have realised it, but he's the man behind the recent club smash, Strings Of Life by Soul Central, on which he applied one of his famous re-edits and if you liked that, this album is definitely for you.

Danny is renowned for bringing the sound of New York’s Body and Soul residency which he shares with Francoise Kevorkian & Joe Claussell and this album will not disapoint. He says he tried to keep this compilation in a house direction even though his tastes are diverse. "I think that most the time my compilations and my tastes are pretty eclectic, using my whole career as something to choose from. However, for this particular collection, I tried to keep it a little more towards, but not exclusively, a house direction. Hopefully I can introduce myself to people who are not aware of my music."
