One of the original pioneers of Drum and Bass makes a triumphant return with a great new record.

This double disc CD is the return of Ant Miles – co-founder of the influential Ram Records – as an artist. And as anyone familiar with the earlier Drum and Bass sound will be able to testify, Ant Miles’ music is characterised by infectious beats, catchy hooks and a driving energy that leaves much modern day DnB feeling as stale as last week’s lager.

The CD opens with the massive, Apparition, which was recorded with Andy C, bringing back the timeless Ram sound with its trademark beats and bass, mutant synth stabs and crushing crescendos. A hit with the likes of Grooverider, it is a classic in the making.

Other stand out tracks bound to be hitting the smoke-filled dance floors of drum and bass nights up and down the country in the months ahead include Visitation, Erazerhead, Solistice and Red One's Believe in U.

But the entire mix harks back to the earlier days of drum and bass, when the sound was new and fresh. Bouncy, buzzing and bass-lickingly good, this is a slice of old skool drum and bass to put a smile on your face and a bop in your step.
