Can you tell us a memorable incident about the tour?

"God, there were loads, but one that springs to mind, was in Zurich. My band, the crew and the dancers all decided to have a night out after the show, we'd all just met Tina Turner and were on a bit of a high and wanted to find a good club which we did.

Our tour manager was a real headmaster, I'll never forget him. He laid a curfew on us every night, only this night, we missed it and had to climb over a barbed wire fence to get back to the bus before he caught us, and believe me, if he did, there would have been trouble! Most of us all made it back safely, apart from the DJ in my band. He jumped, and landed on his arm which he later found out that morning, at about 4am, was broken! We were late leaving Zurich and he had to do the rest of the tour with his left hand. Whoops!"
